Training is a critical first step in every teacher’s GrapeSEED journey. That’s where we learn what makes GrapeSEED such an important experience for children and how it can be taught effectively to help them succeed at speaking English. Because of that, we are committed to providing you with the most comprehensive, up-to-date training experience possible.

In order for teachers to acquire the knowhow and confidence to bring GrapeSEED to life in their classrooms and give students the joy and success we all know is possible, the delivery of Foundation Training and LittleSEED Training has been re-envisioned to reflect the needs of teachers. We are proud to bring you GrapeSEED Essentials and LittleSEED Essentials, the new introductory teacher trainings that you can access now in the GrapeSEED Training Website.

Adults learn best when the content is self-directed, practical, and relevant. That is why we have created these two specially designed online courses where teachers can learn how to use GrapeSEED and LittleSEED, in a way that addresses their needs, with engaging instruction that improves upon the live, face-to-face training of the past.


GrapeSEED Essentials is a series of 88 instructional videos, 14 self-check quizzes, and 4 downloadable training handouts.

LittleSEED Essentials is a series of 14 instructional videos and 6 downloadable training handouts.

Let’s Get Started!

① Invite new teachers to the GrapeSEED Portal 
Invite new teachers to your GrapeSEED Portal so they can create their own accounts.


② Confirm welcome e-mail from GrapeSEED 
Your teachers will receive a welcome e-mail from your GrapeSEED trainer explaining how to start the Essentials online course.


③ Start using Essentials! 
Watch online videos and learn at your own pace.


As teachers enjoy learning at their own pace with the online video course, your trainer is standing by, ready to help all along the way, and will schedule a one-on-one follow-up consultation when Essentials is completed. Once that’s all done you will get a confirmation from your GrapeSEED trainer with an invitation for your teacher’s first coaching session.

Guide

Use any time and as many times 

  • The GrapeSEED Essentials video content is approximately 4 hours, and LittleSEED Essentials is approximately 2 hours. Essentials is viewable from anywhere with an internet connection. There’s no time and place to be for Essentials training, so there’s no being late or missing critical content – your pace, your timing, your schedule.
  • The dynamic content consists of instructional videos as well as lesson demonstrations and trainer interviews. It’s not a recording of live training; it has been optimized for online learning. The course videos can be viewed as many times as needed to ensure understanding and can be reviewed after the teacher has started classroom teaching for day-to-day troubleshooting.

Useful for anyone 

  • Veteran teachers can take the courses to review and get the most up-to-date instruction on teaching GrapeSEED and LittleSEED. Any portal user can access Essentials, so we recommend reviewing it even if you’re in a supporting or managerial role.
  • If a teacher already has a portal account but has not yet taken GrapeSEED training, have them start Essentials and reach out to your trainer so they can provide support.

Reliable support from trainers 

  • Note: Please be sure to complete Essentials before you begin teaching GrapeSEED or LittleSEED. If you have any questions or concerns during the course, your trainer will be happy to answer by phone or e-mail.
  • When the video courses are completed, schedule a Zoom meeting with your trainer to follow-up, clarify, and practice.
