The Opportunity

The chosen candidate will be a key member of the GrapeSEED Malaysian Sales team and will be responsible for the promotion and effective sales of GrapeSEED products to schools within assigned territory. The primary objective for the role will be to drive new business growth above and beyond the currently established business.


Kuala Lumpur, reports to the Malaysia Branch Office Manager.


GrapeSEED is an English-language acquisition program for children (ages 4-12). It is currently in use in 15 countries, in over 600 schools, serving more than 40,000 students.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities and drive strategies and tactics to accelerate revenue growth
  • Networking/ hunting and leveraging marketing leads in order to generate new sales
  • Identify and develop new strategic partnerships within the region
  • Understand the state of elementary education and curriculums in the region to be able to intelligently consult customers in meeting their educational objectives
  • Collaborate with senior management to help set strategic direction for the region
  • Pro-actively manage key accounts and drive sales within the assigned territory
  • Organize and conduct GrapeSEED Preview events for prospects and invitees in order to educate and promote the product
  • Schedule and perform presentations to clients and various institutions
  • Monitor the market, recognize trends and competitors' activities to adjust penetration strategies
  • Project sales, manage, and track all sales activities and metrics in Microsoft Dynamics CRM/Salesforce
  • Ability to travel

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience and track record of success in selling educational products to US Public School Education market
  • Seasoned pro at opening new accounts in a complex, lengthy solution-based sales process
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Proficient in various sales methodologies (such as Solution Selling) and CRM tools
  • Strong hunter and networker - able to identify new prospects, establish and maintain an effective working relationship with prospects, school and central office management team
  • Great ethics, understands the difference between activity and results
  • Fluent in English - listening, speaking, reading and writing
  • Business level Mandarin
  • Experience in selling print, hybrid and digital educational products
  • Displays critical thinking and analysis to resolve complex sales situations
  • Self-motivated, with proven attention to detail

Position overview:

GrapeSEED Trainers serve on the front lines of the GrapeSEED business by equipping and supporting GrapeSEED teachers. It takes special skills to build up GrapeSEED customer schools, resulting in a successful partnership of administrators and teachers in ongoing implementation of the program according to fidelity. A GrapeSEED trainer is required to travel frequently, and must be able to deal with fast-moving school situations. This requires physical and psychological health, energy, and professional discipline. The job is not easy, but the rewards are many. GrapeSEED trainers play a key role in the success of the GrapeSEED program, helping schools prepare students for academic success and a lifetime of learning.


Minimum two years experience teaching GrapeSEED. Must be willing to relocate if outside the Klang Valley. Must be willing to work in fast-paced environment in close cooperation with sales, customer service and management in support of the GrapeSEED business objectives of quality and excellence.


Applicants will be asked to submit video of themselves teaching GrapeSEED. They will also be asked to critically review example video supplied by GrapeSEED. Applicants will be assessed for their growth potential in key areas including presenting, coaching and modeling. Successful applicants will undergo specialized training and ongoing professional development organized by GrapeSEED.
